Community Fundraising and Volunteer Manager

Hours: We are happy to consider either 28 or 35 hours per week (0.8 or 1.0 FTE) depending on the applicant.

Base: We operate a hybrid working pattern, we are happy to consider an office base in Poole or Dorchester, split with working at home if desired. Travel across the Jurassic Coast region will be required, with the potential for travel across the UK for meetings/conferences.

Salary: Circa £28- 30,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience and working pattern).

The role:

Your primary responsibility will be to drive the success of our fundraising initiatives and volunteer programmes, contributing to the overall achievement of income targets and nurturing meaningful connections within the community. You will work collaboratively within the wider JCT team, engaging with stakeholders, including Ambassadors, volunteers, businesses, and schools.

We already deliver a successful events programme throughout the year, but we are looking for someone to bring new ideas, connections and dedication to ensure our events deliver maximum output for fundraising, engagement, satisfaction and impact.

You will have experience of successfully coordinating and maximising income from a diverse range of community and innovative events to achieve mutually agreed income targets; this includes working with volunteers, businesses, community groups and schools to deliver local and national campaigns to support our core protection work for the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.

We are a small and friendly team, spread geographically across the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site; each of us work on distinct projects and therefore we are looking for someone who can work independently and be self-motivated, but who is also not afraid to get ‘stuck in’  and support the team.

Does this sound like you? If so please check out the Job Description. To apply, please send your CV and no more than 2 pages of A4 detailing how your skills and experience complement this role. For and informal chat, please email lucy.culkin@jurassiccoast.org Closing date: Friday 19th January 2024
