This listing covers Shell Bay, Middle Beach and Knoll Beach in Studland Bay. These are all sandy beaches and are very popular, particularly during peak periods such as school holidays.

 

Parking

There are large National Trust car parks at Knoll Beach, Middle Beach and Shell Bay. Parking is from 8.30am - 6pm.

 

Toilets

Toilets are available in all three car parks and are open when car parks are open. Baby changing facilities are included at all toilets.

 

Accessibility

There are accessible parking spaces in all car parks. RADAR key accessible toilets are at Knoll Beach, Middle Beach and Shell Bay. Beach wheelchairs are available at Knoll Beach (book in advance). There is flat access from Knoll Beach car park to the café and toilets. There is a stone path from Knoll Beach car park to the beach.

 

Dogs

Dogs are welcome on these beaches all year. Between 1 May and 30 September, dogs must be on a lead less than than two metres in length.

 

Safety

These beaches are gently shelving and are suitable for bathing, depending on weather conditions. No BBQs on beach or heathland. There is no lifeguard service in operation here.
