About
Burnbake Forest Lodges & Campsite, in the Purbeck region of historic Dorset, is the go-to destination for soaking up the glorious Jurassic Coast and all it has to offer. Nestled in the shadow of Corfe Castle, a stone’s throw from Dorset’s bygone seaside town of Swanage, and a short hop from Brownsea Island, Burnbake is a fantastic location for culture vultures, nature seekers, ramblers, and foodies alike.
Run by a small family-led team, their 2 and 3-bedroom luxury forest lodges are super comfortable, serene, and have everything you need for a self-catering countryside getaway with the whole family (dogs welcome too!) – including a bubbling private hot tub, and a crackling log burner for ultimate relaxation.
Spring through to early autumn, Burnbake’s campsite offers a back-to-nature camping experience that’s relaxed, rustic and charming. Welcoming tents and small campervans, you simply check in at reception, then go and choose your ideal spot, open and sunny or shaded under the trees.
Facilities include a children’s play area, along with electric hook-ups and a shower block for campers. The on-site shop sells essentials including food and toiletries, and both lodge guests and campers can enjoy homemade food from the Snack Shack, open from April to October.
Free wifi is available for lodge guests and campers. Each forest lodge is equipped with a fitted kitchen, hot tub, log burner, BBQ and flat screen TV. Dog friendly lodges have outdoor showers. Visitors will receive fresh linen and robes upon arrival.
